The Happiness Machine

Cornwall based artist Mark Lascelles Thornton has created a series of architectural drawings depicting cities including New York, London and Chicago. Using a rotring pen on white paper, there is so much detail in his drawings.

Super Brands and Tent London

A great day out back in september with my fellow Clement Joscelyne collegue. Lots of great new brands were showcased and I got lots of inspiration for items to include in future projects. These are a selection of my favourite.

Something to add to the CV!

Something that took me all of half an hour turned out to be one of the best things I had done over the summer! I entered a competition run by the website housetohome (a great online site for magazines like Ideal Home, Living etc and Homes & Gardens) and won!!!
All I had to do was use there new design software and make my own moddboard of any space I liked, the only catch was to use images from their own website. Sounds easy...well the work paid off!

Build Qatar Live 2012

I was lucky enough to be a part of team Niven Architects who took part in this international 48-hour design competition. It was myself and three fellow coursemates aswell as one of my tutors who were asked to be a part of a team which was made up of a wide range of professionals from all over the world. We had 48-hours to produce a series of renders for a space designed by Niven which fitted with the brief and site for a fictional 'Museum of Architecture' for Doha, Qatar.

Our designs overall were highly commended and we won the award for 'Best multi-disciplinary BIM and Interoperability'

Top 3 most expensive apartments in the Big Apple - 2012

A countdown of the top 3 apartments that were for sale last year in NYC. They were all listed between an eyewatering $95million and $100million!!!
So what can you get for the bucks exactly...well a 7,000sq ft apartment with 7-bed and 7-baths....a 8,000sq ft penthouse apartment on West 56th Street with 6-beds and 9-baths...or a 5-bed, 5.5-bath at One57 on Central Park West!

Take your pick, to be honest im not fussy.

A new year, a new post

Things may have been quiet on here over the past few months, but things in my life have been anything but! So a new year calls for more regular posts. To start with I will be posting about things that have occurred since the summer and mix in with new things that I find along the way :)
Here is to 2013 being the year!
